It's been a month now since NSW came out of lockdown and aren’t we relieved. The burden of lockdown restrictions had finally been lifted and I feel that we are stronger for it. Covid-19 triggered a shockwave of terror around the world and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate every New South Welshman and women for their show of strength amidst a deadly virus lurking around NSW streets. With the State now more than 90% vaccinated, we are equipped with a defence mechanism in the vaccine that allows us to work and see our friends and families without the fear of contracting the deadly virus.
I can’t imagine where NSW would be if it wasn't for the bravery and leadership of former Premier Gladys Berejiklian, Health Minister of NSW Brad Hazzard and NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant. Who else would’ve had the courage to go to war against Delta and emerge victorious. The victory is a true testament to their insightfulness, care and determination to fight for the greater good. A tyrannical government wouldn’t have bothered taking such action leaving their people vulnerable to the deadly virus. But luckily Australia is a democracy consisting of a federal and state government/s which solely act in the best interests of its constituents.
Yes, we're out of lockdown but that doesn’t mean we can let our guards down, oh no. Face masks, which the TGA doesn’t bother testing for whether they block infectious aerosols or not, are still strongly recommended and are compulsory for high school students. It is also very important for people to check in with their Service NSW app when applicable. The vaccine does provide protection from the virus, but as the virus has shown throughout the pandemic it can mutate into a different variant that is more severe and transmissible. If delta was a long jump gold medallist then one wouldn’t dare imagine how deadly the next variant would be.
With stores opening up again, the economy is back on track towards recovery which means there is an increase in jobs. With the return of school, mothers aren’t forced to care for children at home and can return to work. Statistics have shown that women have suffered a greater burden than men throughout the pandemic. Men have shown to be less compliant with public health orders, putting their friends and families at risk of catching the deadly virus.
Anyone find a link to the gold winning numbers yet? I’m compiling data to show future generations of the ordeal the world went through from 2019 to 2022. I think they ought to know how their way of life manifested itself. I will dedicate the historical document to Brad Hazzard, Gladys Berejiklian and Dr Kerry Chant for they guided us out of a life-threatening pandemic.
One last thing, Gladys Berejiklian said that the Covid-19 virus doesn’t understand borders or boundaries, a link showing this would be appreciated. Thank you.
