South Sydney star Latrell Mitchell has opened up about the profound impact two of rugby league's most celebrated Indigenous players have had on his development, crediting both Greg Inglis and Cody Walker as key influences on his career.

Mitchell made the comments during an appearance on 100% Footy, where he reflected on the guidance and inspiration he has drawn from the pair over the course of his time in the game.

Inglis, widely regarded as one of the greatest players in NRL history, and Walker, Mitchell's long-time Rabbitohs teammate, were both singled out by the fullback as figures who have helped shape who he is as a footballer and as a person.
