Israel Defense Forces: A Promoted Terrorist Organisation

"Jewish troops rolling barrels full of explosives, and huge steel balls, down into the Arab residential areas, and poured oil mixed with fuel down the roads, which they then ignited. The moment panic-stricken Palestinian residents came running out of their homes to try to extinguish these rivers of fire, they were sprayed by machine-gun fire.” - The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine by Ilan Pappe

The Haganah Paramilitary Organisation

Haganah, an underground Jewish paramilitary organisation was established in Palestine to safeguard the Yishuv (first Zionist Settlements) following Arab resistance in 1920. Members of the Zionist Organisation were of the view that the self-defence measures put in place by the British Government to protect the Yishuv were inadequate. For this reason, the Haganah was assembled and deployed.

The Arab resistance was in defiance towards the selling of Palestinian land by Great Britain to members of the Zionist Organisation. The Arab’s realised the purchasing power possessed by zionist members; capable of buying all entirety of Palestinian land. Before the Balfour Declaration of 1917, Jews around the world, except Jewish businessmen, were not deprived of the right to live in Palestine, had they wished to live in Palestine. The migration of Jews to Palestine was organised and carried out by Zionists with incentives offered to the migrating Jews to convince them to move to Palestine. Modern-day Israel was not created at the back of Jews yearning for a Jewish state. There are many reasons behind why the state of Israel was created but a demand by the majority of Jews was not one of them.

The first of many vast Jewish settlements can be classified as Zionist business ventures where Zionists purchased Palestinian land from then new occupier Great Britain. Infrastructure was paid for by zionists as well as the migrants’ cost of living. The settlements offered free accommodation, food, work and security provided by armed mercenaries such as the Haganah. Even till this day, Palestinians are being dispossessed of their lands, forced to seek refuge in neighbouring countries to make way for such zionist settlements. Before the establishment of the World Zionist Organisation, Jews had the right to live in the land amongst Christians and Muslims invoking the same right.

The Haganah were an illegal military force deployed to cause havoc upon Palestinian communities to incite fear and panic leading to the abandonment of their homes. The million of Palestinian refugees who have fled their country did not do so out of their own volition. The most recent Palestinian uprising is a reflection of preceding Arab resistance dating back to 1920. The protests held at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem is self-defence of last resort, a plea requesting the world to prevent the destruction of their homes and displacement as a result. Rather than showing mercy, Israel attacked Gaza with bombing raids killing over 100 Palestinians in the span of five days. Israel claims to be acting in self-defence. Most national governments around the world are in support of Israel’s right to self-defence. Against what threat? Hamas?

The Mossad is the most advanced secret intelligence agency in the world capable of infiltrating the CIA, FBI, MI6, ASIO and every other intelligence service in operation anywhere around the world. Yet the Mossad have trouble locating a terror organisation that can barely evade Israel’s Iron Dome defence system? Not only that but Israel has occupied majority of Palestinian land thus narrowing down the probable whereabouts of Hamas forces. Furthermore, Israel’s Defence Force claims that Hamas terrorists launch attacks on Israel from densely populated Palestinian towns and have no other option but to target the densely populated towns to eliminate threats posed by Hamas. Israel loves Hamas and Hezbollah. For more on Mossad’s role in the establishment of Hezbollah read this article.

Nevertheless, in the spring of 1947, David Ben-Gurion took it upon himself to direct the general policy of the Haganah, especially in preparation for impending Arab attack. On May 26, 1948, the Provisional Government of Israel decided to transform the Haganah into the regular army of the State, to be called “Zeva Haganah Le-Yisrael” — the Israel Defense Forces.

On May 31, 1948, as part of the order of the day establishing the IDF,
David Ben-Gurion said:

“With the establishment of the State of Israel, the Haganah emerged from the underground to become a regular army. Both the yishuv and the Jewish people are greatly indebted to the Haganah for its contribution during the various phases of its existence and development....In the chronicles of the people of Israel, the saga of the Haganah will shine with splendor and majesty that eternally will never dim.”

Haganah: Classified as a Terrorist Organisation?

Terrorism in Australian Commonwealth law is defined as an act or threat that is intended to:

  • advance a political, ideological or religious cause; and
  • coerce or intimidate an Australian or foreign government or the public (or section of the public), including foreign public.
  • The conduct falls within the definition if it:
  • causes serious physical harm to a person or serious damage to property;
  • causes death or endangers a person’s life;
  • creates a serious risk to the health and safety to the public (or section of the public)

The Haganah through sinister means promoted the Zionist desire of transforming Palestine into the state of Israel, a political and religious cause, at least claimed to be by the Zionist Organisation. In
The Sword And The Olive: A Critical History Of The Israeli Defense Force Under British,  Martin Van Creveld conceded that “under British rule the existence of Haganah and many of its activities were, in principle, illegal... However, throughout the twenties repeated discussions were held between the British authorities and Ben Tsvi, who was acting as the chief Haganah representative and whom his interlocutors described as a “perfect Bolshevik.” Creveld also says “Haganah was not an elitist organization but a popular militia whose ranks were open, at least in principle, to any member of the Jewish community. Also unlike Ha-shomer, it was not a private association accountable only to itself. Instead it was born as the result of a deliberate decision to set up a Jewish armed force that would operate in the service of the community as a whole.” Creveld claimed that the Haganah was a private organisation only accountable to itself, however, it was offered the Rothschild Boulevard by the Zionist Organisation to be used as the Haganah headquarters. Also, Zionists funded the Haganah's acquisition of firearms along with other types of artillery.

Ilan Pappe in his book
The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine conveys the level of destruction the Haganah inflicted upon Palestinian communities. Intimidation tactics included ...  “Jewish troops rolling barrels full of explosives, and huge steel balls, down into the Arab residential areas, and poured oil mixed with fuel down the roads, which they then ignited. The moment panic-stricken Palestinian residents came running out of their homes to try to extinguish these rivers of fire, they were sprayed by machine-gun fire.” Pappe also conveys, “In areas where the two communities still interacted, the Haganah brought cars to Palestinian garages to be repaired, loaded with explosives and detonating devices, and so wreaked death and chaos. A special unit of the Haganah, Hashahar ('Dawn'), made up of mista'arvim, Hebrew for 'becoming Arab', that is Jews who disguised themselves as Palestinians - was behind this kind of assault. The mastermind of these operations was someone called Dani Agmon, who headed the 'Dawn' units.” Further examples include the Susannah Operation where Israeli agents disguised themselves as Arab suicide bombers in Egypt. Perhaps Hamas is also another example.

Opinion

“However, throughout the twenties repeated discussions were held between the British authorities and Ben Tsvi, who was acting as the chief Haganah representative and whom his interlocutors described as a “perfect Bolshevik.” The Russian Bolshevik Red Army instigated the Russian Civil War in which over 6 million soldiers fought for the Red Army. Bolshevism was created and funded by elite Jewish bankers namely Jacob Schiff. The emergence of the first communist state in Soviet Union was brought upon by Jewish Bolsheviks. Yet, the Palestinian Liberation Organisation was supplied with weapon artillery by the Soviet Union to facilitate the Palestinian quest of regaining their territory post 1948. However, most of those weapons were used in armed conflict with Lebanese militias during the Lebanese Civil War. The Soviet Union provided the Palestinians with weaponry and Israel supplied Lebanese Christian militias with weaponry and offered them weapons training at the Israeli Army Base in Haifa. As a result of the Palestinian-Lebanese conflict, large numbers of Palestinians died thus firming Israel’s stronghold on an outright claim of sovereignty over Palestinian lands.
