The NSW State Government announced effective from 3rd January 2021 wearing face marks would be compulsory in Greater Sydney. Face masks are now mandatory in these following indoor settings:
You may be fined $200 on the spot for not wearing a face mask. There are also penalties for hospitality venue operators who fail to ensure their staff wear masks as required. The fines are $1000 for an individual and $5000 for a corporate operator.
It is extremely important to note that health facilities, businesses and hospitality venues will not be fined should a person (who is not an employee) be on their premises without wearing a mask.
The State Government is in the view that wearing a mask helps to reduce community transmission. One way COVID-19 is spread is when an infected person coughs, sneezes or speaks near another person.
The person infected with COVID-19 can be:
Breach of orders made under the Public Health Act 2010 is a criminal offence and attracts heavy penalties.
In the case of an individual, the maximum penalty is $11,000, or imprisonment for 6 months, or both and a further $5500 penalty may apply for each day the offence continues. The NSW Police may also issue on-the-spot fines of $1000 for an offence.
In the case of any corporation, the maximum penalty is $55,000 and a further $27,500 penalty may apply for each day the offence continues.
A person may remove their mask if they are:
Eating and drinking
You can take your face mask off when you are eating or drinking. To avoid the risk of contamination, NSW Health recommends you put on a new, clean mask when you have finished eating or drinking.
If this is not possible, remember to wash or sanitise your hands. You should always use hand sanitiser or wash your hands before and after changing your face mask. Remember, stay 1.5 metres apart from people you don’t live with.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said that she is considering a plan which would require patrons to prove their vaccination status before entering venues including Cafes, Restaurants and Pubs. There is no more need for your fear-mongering Gladys, stores are already refusing entry of patrons who do not wear a mask.
At 4pm today, 18 Jan 2021, was refused entry into Bunnings Warehouse in Villawood. I didn’t argue with the security guard and employees at the entrance, I just said okay, got back into my car and drove off. Five minutes later I arrived at Autobarn Fairfield where I was also refused entry into Autobarn. An Autobarn employee was kind enough to bring me the things I needed.
Whatever happens in 2021 will result in most people around the world being vaccinated. Those who refuse to be vaccinated will be ostracised from society. Then it will only be a matter of time before the ostracised people cave into loneliness and take the vaccination.
People need to start asking politicians these following questions:
If answers to these questions were processed through one’s logic and reason, there would be no justifying Covid-19 rules let alone the virus warranting any attention. However, if the answers to these questions were processed through the sense of fear, any rule would be abided by, with no questions asked. In reality, the latter is the case. The Coronavirus itself does not justify the enforcement of the pathetic Covid-19 rules, the justifications for these rules are based on lies, deceit and
fear-mongering.
For example, NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kelly Chant recently said that "I think it's probably prudent we now get used to wearing masks whenever we're indoors”. Is her statement based on medical evidence? As of August 31 2020, there is less than 0.04% chance of dying as a cause of Covid-19 if you’re aged between 0-59 years of age. Doesn’t seem prudent now does it Dr Chant? How about you the reader, is it prudent to get used to wearing masks whenever indoors? Her saying the above is equivalent to a doctor prescribing an entire suburb to wear masks after diagnosing someone with a cold.
